Coral Reef Rocks of Guerguerat Desert
I recently had the chance to visit the Guerguerat Desert for the second time. This vast landscape, with its white sand dunes and abandoned coral reef rocks, is truly awe-inspiring. The sharpness of the rocks contrasts beautifully with the soft curves of the dunes, creating a unique and mesmerizing scene in southern of Morocco. You can get to Guerguearat from Dakhla city. As you travel through this desert, it’s impossible not to imagine how vibrant marine life must have been here before the Atlantic Ocean receded. In this photo essay, I aimed to play with light to highlight the intricate shapes and forms of the caves.
