Craftsmen of the Medina
Marrakech is a vibrant city full of culture and tradition. It is home to many Maalem or craftsmen who have been honing their skills for generations. This photo shines a light on the beauty and skill of some of these traditional craftsmen who have kept their traditions alive for centuries, as well as the unique atmosphere of the Medina of Marrakech.
This photo series aims to capture the beauty and intricacy of these craftsmen’s work, highlighting their unique skills and culture.
Through this project, we want to gain an appreciation for the hard this Maalem are putting to create their products. We want to showcase their talents and capture their stories in order to preserve them for generations to come.
